London may continue to outperform Berlin when it comes to big investment, but a major New Enterprise Associates (NEA)-led investment in travel start-up GoEuro suggests that Silicon Valley has finally set its sights on the young capital.
A stellar example of how companies are transforming entire ecosystems through the clever use of data, the Berlin-based start-up is a step closer to its goal of becoming the largest multi-mode travel platform across the Continent thanks to the successful $27 million Series A funding led by NEA.
The company’s three existing investors, Battery Ventures, Hasso Plattner Ventures and Lakestar have also increased their funding in the company.
